What I've done is to use the YouTube Downloaded program (free from YouTube), converted the movie into the format you can edit, and I use Microsoft Movie Maker (bundled with Vista, and possibly available free on the other OSs?) to do the editing....

The silver lining was that their team was beaten, and they wouldn't have been there to see it (and get involved in any yobbery and hooliganism, if that was their bag). So not a complete disaster......
