Founding a discussion and photo group identifying good looking and not so good looking Bimmers.
It's not so important where they fall but more over what effect they had/have on you, and where have they taken or where will they take the brand marque.

I did some searches prior to the e92 and found these comments:

I for one loved the E46 M3 at first sight. However out of fairness to the masses I did an archive search from the E36 M3 board to get an overall idea of the acceptance or resistance climate, and YOU ARE RIGHT! Most hated the change and now hail it's design go figure, human nature. My perspective is this. I like the new sedan's look. The exterior design is an improvement over the e46 in sexy aggression and modern style. I wasn't crazy about the first photos but in the metal I was convinced. I'm still not crazy about the trunk lid but overall it's nicer. This will probably happen with the new coupes as well. My beef is this I wanna be blown away by the first pics as a stand alone design not as a replacement for the predecessor. Show me a poster worthy vehicle! I try not to follow the masses. I remember the resistance of the sixer owners when the eight series hit the street but personally I loved the old six and I loved the new eight even more. It all boils down to this. The car will come, it will sell, it will eventually fade and then be replaced. Only then can you fairly judge it's overall effect. But for me it's the first impression, just like a beautiful woman. I can find out her character later, or who she's related to.
I have faith in BMW. They have gone three for three with the M3 thus far! They will pull it together.
