New from MINI Connected comes the Driving Excitement App, packed full of features that allow you to monitor numerous aspects of your MINI.
As with previous version of the MINI Connected app, the latest update is uploaded to the car via your iPhone, and the app can be used in all current MINI models equipped with the Visual Boost radio or navigation system and MINI Connected option.
The app functions are operated using the MINI joystick, steering wheel button and on-board monitor, allowing you to view and use the different functions safely. The Condition Check function allows you to monitor engine temperature, fuel level, outside temperature and signs of rain – if everything is just right, the monitor will declare everything “Be MINI.”
The Force Meter measures and records longitudinal and lateral acceleration generated over a pre-defined timeframe, displaying in which direction the forces are developing via virtual MINI on the monitor.
The Digital Sports Instruments turn the on-board monitor into an extension of the standard instruments, displaying the coolant temperature, current engine power output along with either current rpm or torque. The output and revs/torque data is displayed in a drag format, the maximum values remaining visible for a short time.
In addition to all this, the MINI Connected app also includes a detailed tutorial outlining the fundamentals of skilled, sporty and safe driving.
